MLB draft: Deion Sanders was drafted twice by MLB teams. In 1985, Sanders was drafted by the Kansas City Royals out of high school. In 1988, the New York Yankees drafted him out of Florida State University in the 30th round.

NFL Draft: In 1989, the Atlanta Falcons drafted Sanders with the fifth overall pick.

Details: The only athlete in history to play in both the World Series and a Super Bowl, Deion “Primetime” Sanders was one of the greatest athletes in U.S. history. Inducted into the Pro Football Hall of Fame in 2011, Sanders played nine seasons in the major leagues for four teams. He is the only person to hit a major-league home run and score an NFL touchdown in the same week.
